Perfect Foundation

Don't you just hate when your foundation turns out cakey, splotchy, and just uneven?  I know I do and we all have those days every once in a while.  Here are some helpful tips to get perfect foundation all the time.

1. Before applying your liquid or powder foundation, you want to clean your face by using a gentle face cleanser to remove any dirt or impurities from your face.  By doing this your foundation with go on smoothly and stay on longer.

2.When applying liquid foundation on a blemish or dark spot, you want to use your finger.

3.If you don't want to use your finger to apply your liquid foundation, you want to use a facial sponge to apply the foundation.

4. When putting on powder foundation after liquid foundation, you want to wait until your liquid foundation is completely dry before applying the powder with a makeup brush evenly across your face and blend it out.

5.Sometimes it's a good idea to apply a small amount of oil-free moisturizer to your foundation especially if you are trying to cover a red spot on your skin just to calm your skin.

6. Once you apply it to your skin double check it to make sure it is completely blended out and is even all over your face and blended down your neck.

7. When double checking, view your face under natural light to make sure your blemishes are evenly and effectively covered as well.

Making sure you have the right foundation for you and making sure it is the right color for you is helpful to covering all problem areas and evening out your skin tone on your face.  I hope these tips were helpful:)

5 bad but common beauty habits

A lot of people have beauty habits that are not good at all.  Everyone does them even if they don't realize it like me.

1.Not wearing sunscreen everyday!
People don't think this is a big deal but it is a huge deal!  You need to wear sunscreen everyday especially on your face.  Even if it is just your face that is fine.  Before you put on your foundation or concealer apply some sunscreen (preferably a face stick for your face)  to prevent wrinkles and aging of the skin.

2. Sleeping with your makeup on!
Many people get lazy at night or are to tired to take their makeup off before they go to bed.  When you sleep with your makeup on at night it can clog your pores and that is not good at all.  It also makes your skin dry or oily (depends on your skin) so you need to at least take a makeup remover wipe or even a cleansing pad and go over your face with it.

 3.Workout with makeup on!
People go to the gym or workout with their makeup on.  I even did it to until I realized what it does to your skin.  When you work out you usually sweat on your face.  If you have makeup on and you sweat, then your sweat gets clogged in your foundation then into your pores and causes you to break out.

4.Touching your face!
Many people touch their face during the day and most don't realize everything that they touch  has bacteria on it and when they touch their face they are putting that bacteria onto their face.  Also it causes your skin to get oily and that is no good.

5.Not washing your makeup brushes after use!
People don't think that this is a big deal but it is!  After use of your makeup brushes you need to clean them because you put your bacteria onto your brushes and then the next day into product.  This will be causing you to apply bacteria to your skin or possibly other people's skin so clean your brushes everyday (Only the ones that you used) and deep clean them once a week.

I hope this was helpful to you!

Green Tea?

I know what your thinking.  Why green tea?  Green tea is not only an amazing drink but also a problem solver!  Green tea helps prevent a variety of conditions, from heart disease to cancer, from gum disease to weight loss, acne, and skin aging.  There have been many studies to prove these things.  Animal studies showed protection of skin cancer and animal and human studies demonstrated that tropical green tea formulas reduce sun damage by quenching free radicals and reduces inflammation rather than blocking UV rays.  It will help even more when you wear sunscreen everyday.

Green tea also helps with skin sagging, wrinkles, and any other signs of aging.  Their well documented antioxidant and anti-inflammatory activities, tropical green tea polyphenols slow down some of the signs of aging but if it completely gets rid of skin sag or wrinkles is uncertain.

To use green tea in your everyday skincare routine is easy, since sun protection of green tea are particularly well documented, it would make since to apply a green tea formula under your sunscreen and foundation.  It will also help to incorporate green tea into your skin maintenance routine but green tea cream might not be the best way to go because like other antioxidants, green tea polyphenols are oxidized and lose their activity when touching air.

I hope these tips were helpful to you!  Enjoy some of my other tips!
